Quinoa and Oat Porridge

Ingredients
1/2 C water1/4 C quinoa1/4 C rolled oats (I use old fashioned)1/4 C crushed pineapple, or pineapple juice1 T brown sugar or molassesRaisins or other dried fruit to taste (not in nutrition info)
Directions
Rinse grains (optional).

Add water, brown sugar and quinoa to a small pot. Bring to a boil and then lower heat to a simmer for 10 minutes.

Add oats and fruit and simmer an additional 5 minutes, or at least until oats are cooked and liquid is absorbed.

I like to add cinnamon to mine.

Makes 1 serving (approx. 1 to 1 1/2 cups.)
