1 bag (1 1/2 cups) cabbage3 Tbsp Fat Free Mayonnaise or Fat Free Miracle Whip2 Tbsp sugar1 Tbspn white vinegarSalt & Pepper to tast
Mix fat free mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper and pour over shredded cabbage. initially this will not look like enough coleslaw dressing but if you wait is will become the right consistency without being goopy.
Red or green cabbage or both can be used for this salad. This is intended to be a low fat, low sodium alternative to standard coleslaw.

Instead of vinegar, I used 2 tbsp of lemon juice and instead of sugar use 1 tsp of Stevia natural sweetener. I also added about a 1/2 tsp of horseradish which gives the coleslaw a bit more zip. I also used green cabbage and added a few shredded baby carrots for colour. Makes a nice salad! - 5/1/10

I used Miracle Whip Light which I decided I may save calories next time and just use regular (sin!) Miracle Whip because I love the taste. My secret ingredient is to add caraway /or celery seed and let sit a few hours before serving. I add the seeds about half hour before serving. Thx. Good recipe - 11/12/14
