I also use vegetable stock if headed for a stir fry or soup. Lemon juice if headed for a dip like a bean hummus.
I do this with any canned bean. My favorite is a chili dip with red kidney beans, salsa, and a shredded mexican cheese blend. Add Mexican spices and you're ready for some veggie strips! - 12/31/13
