Jodi's southern style pink eyed purple hull peas

Ingredients
1/2 a bundle of Fresh pink eye purple hulled peas Shelled and washed or 1 bag frozen pink eye purple hulled peas2 cups water1 beef bouillion cube 1/4 cup chopped onion1 tsp garlic powdersalt and pepper to taste2 packets of equal
Directions
Shell, pick and clean peas
on stove, bring to a boil water and bouillion cube.
add onion, garlic, peas and sugar
salt and pepper
you may need a more water
Bring to a boil and then turn them down let simmer for about 2 hours less time if you use frozen peas maybe 1 hour.

Serve with corn bread and pepper sauce
