Blueberry-Apple Cinnamon Compote For Two!!

1 and 1/3 cup blueberries, fresh1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and sliced3 tbsp Grade B maple syrup3/4 cup purified water1 tsp ground cinnamon*** This compote comes out as a thick sauce (similar to apple sauce). For a thicker, more gelatin-like texture, add 1 tbsp of corn starch, and an additional 2 tbsp water. This will change nutritional info!!!! Check back of corn starch box in order to calculate new nutritional info.
Pour water into small-medium saucepan and heat at medium.
Take apple slices and pulverize in food processor or Magic Bullet until it is applesauce w/ some apple chunks (approx. 3-5 seconds).
Add whole blueberries, applesauce/chunks, and Grade B Maple Syrup to water.
Bring mixture to boil for 5 minutes, stirring often, then reduce to low.
Stir every 5 minutes for 20 minutes, scraping sides with wooden spoon.
Remove from heat, cool, and store in refrigerator.
