Okra Do Piaza

Ingredients
1/2 kg bhindi ( okra)2 medium sized onion1 tsp salt1 tsp whole cumin1/2 tsp turmeric powder1/2 tsp cayenne2 tbsp sun flower oil ( or any other oil)
Directions
1) Cut onions into strips.
2) Cut the okra into 2cm pieces.
3) Heat some oil (on medium-high heat) with the cumin.
4) When the oil is hot, add the okra and onions.
5) Fry uncovered until the okra is done (pieces should shrink and start turning brownish).
6) Add turmeric, cayenne and salt. Mix in the spices and take off the heat after about a minute.
Important: Okra tends to get slimy when cooked. To minimize this, make sure that you fry them uncovered, wash it a few hours before you cook with it and do not add any of the dry spices until the end.
