Quick Homemade Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
1/4 c olive oil1 med onion, chopped6 cloves garlic, crushed28-oz tomato puree3 medium tomatoes, skinned & chopped1/2 t salt1 Tbsp dried basil
Directions
Heat oil over medium-low heat and saute onion and garlic until tender. Add puree, tomatoes, basil, and salt. Bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer parially covered for 20 mins, stirring occasionally.

Makes about 8 - 1/2 cup servings.
