2 tablespoons butter1 medium sweet onion, very finely chopped1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef2 cans (15 oz each) red kidney beans, drained1 jar (26 oz) marinara sauce, Newmans Own1 package (1.25 oz) chili seasoningShredded Cheese, for garnishSour Cream, for garnishMinced Chives, for garnish
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add onion and saute until softened. Crumble in the beef and cook until browned. Stir in beans and marinara sauce. Stir in chili seasoning. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 mins. Ladle into soup bowls and garnish with cheese, sour cream, and chives.
