Ingredients
Directions
for the sponge100g self raising flour100g caster sugar100g margarine (low fat)2 eggs (medium)for the icing50g icing sugar25g margarineif you want you can add dried fruit to the mix instead of icing them, or colourings and flavourings to make them more interesting, but anything that is added will affect the cals.
this is a basic sponge cake recipe, you can either make one sponge cake which will take 25-30mins to cook, although I would keep checking it, or you can make 12 small buns which will take 10-15mins to cook.
Firstly cream the marg and the sugar together
then add the eggs and the flour a little at a time, and then put into cases and into a moderate oven until risen and brown
allow to cool and then make the icing to decorate using the icing sugar and the margarine that is left over, if liked you could add flavourings or clourings to this part, although they could affect the cals
