Quinoa Breakfast Cereal

1 cup Quinoa, uncooked2 cups nonfat milk1 egg1/2 c. Splenda3 tsp. sugar1 tsp. cinnamon1 tsp. vanilla extract1 scoop 100% Whey Protein Powder
Soak quinoa for 15 minutes in cold water then rinse through a sieve.
Put rinsed quinoa in medium pot with milk over medium-high heat and bring to boil (stir constantly to prevent scorching of milk). As this heats scramble egg in bowl and use warming milk to temper the egg.
When milk boils turn down heat to simmer, add tempered egg, splenda, sugar, and vanilla extract. Cover and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
After 15 minutes remove from heat and add cinnamon and Protein Powder. Stir. Serve however you like to eat a hot cereal but remember to include any extra calories in your total.
