8 cups chicken brothone half turkey kielbasa, diced1 can kidney beans1 lb russet potatoes, diced1 can diced tomatoes1/2 head savoy cabbage2 leeks, chopped, white and light green parts1 small onion4 garlic cloves1 bay leaf
combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until soup is thick (about 2 hours). Stir occasionally. Season with salt and pepper if desired. Sometimes I add a little fennel seed.

Followed the spirit of the recipe & used turnip instead of potato, & added spinach at end. Cooked it in slow cooker & it was great. Added tsp. salt but don't think was needed. Used Bilinski chicken chardonnay sausages, and white beans, skipped tomato. 2 cup servings for 8 and 157 cal - 3/7/18
