Beef Barley and Mushroom Soup

Ingredients
1 Tbsp Veg oil2 Medium Onions(diced)2 cups Chopped Celery1.5 lbs beef roast diced up1 tsp salt1 tsp onion powder1 tsp garlic powder2 tsp black pepperI pkg of sliced mushrooms ( 8oz)1 lb pkg Pearled Barley2 32 oz boxes Beef Broth64 oz Water
Directions
In a large soup pot saute onions and celery, add meat and seasonings. Lightly brown meat. Add mushrooms and barley. Add Broth and water, bring to a boil , reduce heat. Cover and simmer several hours.

    LOOKS GOOD. MY BEEF BARLEY MUSHROOM SOUP IS OUTSTANDING BUT IT AINT CHEAP CALORY WISE WHEN WHEN SAUTE THE VEGGIES IN OLIVE OIL. I WILL TRY IT THIS LIGHTER WAY AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. - 2/12/10
