Homemade enchilada sauce

2 c chicken broth4 Tbsp chili powder1 tsp cumin powder2 1/2 tsp garlic powder3/4 tsp saltdash of cinnamon3/4 tsp sugar1/4 c. white flour1/3 c COLD water
*Makes just under 2 cups of finished sauce (8 1/4 c servings)
In a 2 quart pot add bring chicken broth to low boil, then add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, cinnamon and sugar. Use a whisk to mix everything and let it simmer for about 3 minutes. (at this stage you can simmer longer if you want)
in a small bowl or coffee mug, combine flour and COLD water and whisk till smooth.
Turn heat up a bit on sauce, bring it to a rolling boil, add flour mixture slowly while whisking non stop to keep from lumping. Reduce heat back down to medium low as you whisk for one minute. Remove from heat and your sauce is thickened and done.
