Chicken, Broccoli & Cheese Soup

Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) Butter1/2 Cup All Purpose flour3 cans (14 ounces) ready to use chicken broth1 Bag Broccoli1 Small OnionBlack Pepper1 Cup (1/2 Pint) heavy cream3 Cups (12 ounches) Cheddar Cheese1 pound chicken
Directions
1. In medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the flour and stir until well combined and browned (set aside)

2. In a soup po combine the broth, Broccoli, Onion and pepper over high heat, Bring to a boil, them reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 25 to 30 mintues or until Broccoli is very tender

3. Stir in the butter mixture until the soul is thickened, slowly stir in the heavy cream

4. Add Cheese 1 cup at a time, Mix well until cheese is melted.

Prep time and cooking time are together as we are cooking the recipe in stages through out the prep time.
