Directions
GET A LARGE SOUP PAN. HEAT UP THE OLIVE OIL IN BOTTOM AND ADD FLANK STEAK. BROWN ON BOTH SIDES.
ADD DICED ONION AND SAUTE FOR 5 MINUTES.
ADD DICED CABBAGE.
ADD THE JUICE FROM 1/2 LEMON. SAUTE ALL OF THIS FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES.
ADD THE CRUSHED TOMATOES AND BRING TO A BOIL.
ADD THE CHICKEN BROTH AND BRING THAT TO A BOIL.
ADD THE SUGAR AND ANOTHER FEW SQUEEZES OF LEMON.
TURN DOWN THE SOUP TO A SIMMER AND SIMMER FOR TWO HOURS. (AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF, REMOVE THE MEAT AND CUT INTO SMALL BITESIZE PIECES (CUT AGAINST THE GRAIN) AND PUT BACK INTO SOUP AND SIMMER FOR ANOTHER 30 MINTUES. ).
