Chicken Bog

Ingredients
6 Chicken Thighs1 polish or smoked sausage4 cups uncooked rice8 cups waterspices to taste
Directions
Boil chicken thighs in the 8 cups water.
Cool, skin and de-bone thighs
Skim fat from broth
Measure broth and add add'l water if necessary to bring back to 8 cups.
Add chicken back to broth
Slice sausage in half and cut into bite size pieces and add to broth.
Bring back to boil
Reduce heat to simmer
Add rice and simmer 20-40 mins until tender and all water is absorbed.

    I made Paula Deen's recipe for this and her seasoning choices were seasoned salt, red pepper, black pepper and garlic salt. It was fantastic and I have enough left overs for the entire week for 2 people! - 6/20/12
