apricot, plum and walnut jam

Ingredients
12 ripe plums1 cup dried apricots9 cups granulated sugar (warmed)3 cups of water2 cups of chopped walnuts
Directions
add the apricots to 1 cup of water and set to boil to reconstitute.
cut the plums in half and remove pit
add the plums and the apricots to a large pot along with remaining water, bring to a boil for 1 hour.
when plums and apricots are softened, use a potato masher to break them into smaller peices, being sure to leave then still chunky.
slowly stir in all 9 cups of sugar and bring to a boil until the mixture thickens to a jam like consistancy.
fills 6 glass pint jars. 1 tbsp per serving.
