Yams Imperial (w/o Marshmallows)

Ingredients
1 15 1/4 oz can Sliced Pineapple, undrained1/2 cup Toasted Slivered Almonds1/4 cup Firmly packed Brown Sugar2 tbsp Butter or Margarine, Melted8 ea Marshmallows8 ea Whole Marashino Cherries2 29 oz can Bruce's Cut Yams, drained and mashed
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Drain pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup syrup.
3. Combine yams, reserved pineapple syrup, almonds
4. brown sugar and butter until well blended.
5. Spoon mixture into 2-quart shallow baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
6. Bake 20 minutes or until heated through.
7. Arrange pineapple slices around edge of dish.
8. Fill center of pineapple slices with marshmallows; top marshmallow with cherries.
9. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until marshmallows begin to melt.

Yield: 2 quart casserole
Preptime: 10 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
