Beef Goulash

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs. beef chuck, cut in cubes2 T. flour2 T. oil2 c. water2 c. chopped onions1 T. paprika1 1/2 t. salt1 bay leaf (whole)1 clove garlic, minced
Directions
Dust beef cubes with flour, brown well in hot oil. Add onion, cook about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, stir to loosen browned bits. Cover, simmer until meat is tender, about 2 - 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve over hot noodles. Serves 5.
