Hamburger Lentil Soup

1 lb lean ground beef1/2 cup onions, chopped4 carrots, diced3 ribs celery, diced1 glaic clove, minced or 1 tsp garlic powder1 quart tomato juice, no salt added1 Tbsp salt2 cups dry lentils, washed with stones removed1 quart water1/2 tsp dried marjoram1 Tbsp brown sugar
Directions
Makes 8 servings. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours or High 4 to 6 hours.
