Instead of bread crumbs, I used oat bran. Very delicious. - 1/11/09

I whizzed a piece of toasted bread in lieu of the canned breadcrumbs, used leeks & green onions instead of the regular onion, skipped the bell pepper, used canola mayo instead of eggwhite, & added a splash of lemon juice, some garlic powder, & some pepper. No need to fry the veggies beforehand. - 3/17/09

Add a clove of garlic, minced and a Tbsp. of onion powder to this for sure! Use dijon mustard to drizzle. Loved it!! - 1/11/09

I made this for lunch yesterday. I liked it very much. Added curry and garlic powder. I had only whole wheat bread on hand so I toasted it and chopped it up - worked just fine. Will definitely make again. - 5/19/07

I've made similar patties from the South Beach Diet Cookbook. However, I've also add ground flax seed. Sometimes I put red peppers (chopped) into it for color and taste. But they are so good and so filling. - 4/10/09

Mine crumbled a lot but they were very good. I added some red pepper flakes to the mixture and ate it with low calorie wheat bread and vege-cheese (american style) and it was very good. - 11/20/07

Really good recipe. I love tuna and salmon patties they remind me of my grandma and aunts cooking in the kitchen. Granted this one is much healthier than the ones they made with mayo, and fried in bacon grease . . . : ) - 10/5/09

I made this just as recipe called for, except added some minced garlic & some Aunt Jane's Crazy Mixed up Salt. I needed to drizzle just a little olive oil into the mix, as it seemed dry & as it would crumble had I not. Tried it plain 1st, thought it was great; added my own salsa-and WOW! AWESOME!! - 3/20/09

These tuna patties were so easy to make and an easy way for us to get the benefits of fish when I don't have a lot of time to cook. I will make again, but.... I am going to try them on a bun with cheese - sounds good to me! - 10/16/07

Very tasty and easy to make! I put a patty in a whole wheat pita with salsa for a scrumptious lunch! Great alternative to boring tuna salad! - 7/23/07

I really enjoyed this recipe!! I'm not a fan of most fish, but I like tuna. This is less fishy than salmon patties which I can eat, but don't really enjoy. I will be making these again! - 6/26/07

Love it! I only used one can of 6 oz. Since I don't eat so much vegetables I used one tablespoon of all of them and just one egg. It was so tasty that I end up eating the six patties that I make. Nice recipe! - 4/24/07

I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out wonderful. I served applesauce with it to take the spicy bite away from the salsa. But the patties are delicious with the salsa on it. This will definitely be a regular in our doctor's recommendation of fish twice a week for cholesterol. - 4/2/07

Really good and simple recipe - think we used a little too much tuna, so more egg whites would've helped with the crumbling! Had them with spinach :) - 1/16/13

This was soo good. I added cubed cheddar cheese, diced onions and a little bread crumbs and seared it in a pan with seasme oil. Very very good, thinking of making it again next week. - 5/15/12

I loved this! I made it with cayenne pepper as recommended by another member, and it was awesome! It was so easy to make, too! I'll definitely be making this again. - 11/9/11

This makes a lot! Had a hard time w/patties falling apart, but I used 2-7oz cans. Could use some extra spice, but pretty darn good. I didn't have salsa, which I am sure would make them taste less dry. - 6/9/11
