Mashed Acorn Squash

Ingredients
1/2 acorn squash1/4 cup brown sugar1/2 tsp cinnamon1/8 tsp cloves1/8 tsp ginger 2 cups water
Directions
Preheat oven to 325. Cut squash. place in a baking dish. Combine spices, sugar, and 1 cup water and pour over the squash. If needed, add enough water to cover squash. Bake at 325 for 40 min. Pour into a small saucepan and cook at medium heat for about 20-30 minutes, or until the spice mixture thickens. Before it cools completely, mash the squash and mix with the spices. Makes it very creamy without the necessity of butter.
