YUM!!! YUM!!!
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 large eggs
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1 3/4 cup of skim milk
    1/2 cup apple sauce
    1 tbsp packed brown sugar
    4 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt

Directions

Beat eggs until fluffy. While the eggs are beating mix all other ingredients. When the eggs are fluffy add to the mix. Put 2/3 cup in your waffle iron for no more than 5 mins and viola!!! The most delicious almost fat free waffles in the world! Top with your favorite berries (not included in the nutritional information).

    These are good - even when you forgot to add the applesauce! However, the applesauce (even unsweetened) adds a nice touch of sweetness. My adult daughter said she likes these. FYI - you skipped listing your milk in your nut info. - 11/9/15

    Very Good
    I recommend beating the egg whites (and adding 1 more egg white when you do) to the batter which makes the waffles lighter & fluffier!

    Very Good
    I find these are very dry, so I use half white flour. I also skip the sugar, and rather than processed apple sauce, I use real apples in the mix. But great, and simple! - 8/9/10
