Introduction

I LOVE fried pork chops and was so tempted by them that I wanted to do a baked boneless pork chop recipe for a lower calorie option! I LOVE fried pork chops and was so tempted by them that I wanted to do a baked boneless pork chop recipe for a lower calorie option!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

This is for a single serving of 1 pork chop

3 oz center cut boneless pork chop
    1/2 cup of bread crumbs
    Pepper and seasoning salt
    2 tbsp canola oil

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Season meat with seasoning then cover with bread crumbs.

Pour the canola oil in the bottom of a pan. Put the chops in the pan and bake for about 20 min then flip them over and cook for another 10 - 15 minutes depending on how done you like them to be. Makes a good tasting pork chop with a lot less fat!

Something's off with the calorie count on this one. There are over 100 calories in a 3 oz pork chop alone, so if you include the bread crumbs and the oil (over 60 calories for the 0.5 tbsp of oil), there's no way this recipe is only 114 calories a serving. It needs to be recalculated. - 3/4/16

Easy and delicious. I cooked them about 10 minutes extra because I am always afraid pork will be undercooked and it was still very juicy. - 2/28/13

Looking at the full nutritional breakdown, it appears that only 1 3-oz. pork chop is used for 4 servings — author needs to recalculate using 4 chops (12 oz. total). Calories, fat and protein will all increase. - 9/22/16

    O.K.
This recipe was "OK" It wasn't awful, but I felt as though the pork was very greasy & messy. I would not make this again, but it was a decent enough dinner - 6/19/15

These tasted great! I think I used too much oil because mine weren't crispy. I'll try again with less next time. - 4/22/15

I used garlic-flavored canola oil and panko bread crumbs. Flavor was really good, but my bread crumbs weren't crispy. Maybe it was the panko. I'll try patting my chops dry before seasoning them next time. - 2/4/11
