The stew meat was tender and tasty, and all the veggies made this version of stew very healthy. It was fun to try it on St. Patrick's Day. Thank you, VHALKYRIE! - 3/18/14

First, how large is the can of tomato paste?
I used haacker schor, venison, 1.5# because that's what I had on hand.
Very tasty but I would leave out the peppers and use mushrooms. The old me would say it needs some bacon so maybe a little liquid smoke would be nice

I must have done something wrong. Followed the directions, but mine turned out to be more of a soup than a stew. And I used Guinness Extra Stout, which made it taste VERY bitter. - 3/10/16

    O.K.
It was OK but seem like it was lacking something in the taste department. I added more onions and some garlic after it cooked for a while and I tasted it. Also added some green beans and potatoes. Probably won't make again without revisions. - 1/15/15

I fully intend t try this next time I buy some Newcastle brown ale( one of the best beers in the world) - 3/12/14

    O.K.
It was okay, but it definitely needs more veggies. I added potatoes to it, and next time I'll be adding green beans to it as well. It's a good starting point for stews, but overall it was just okay and needed some fine tuning to turn it into something great. - 2/18/14
