Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    3 slices prosciutto, each cut on an angle into 4 pieces
    1 ounce Parmesan or Gruyere cheese, sliced into 12 equal slices
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper, coarsely cracked
    12 leaves green or red leaf lettuce, cut in half
    2 stalks hearts of palm, sliced in half lengthwise then cut into 6 equal pieces
    2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

Directions

Place the prosciutto on a cutting board. Layer on the cheese, lettuce, and hearts of palm. Sprinkle on the pepper. Roll up tightly, securing with toothpicks if needed.
Place on a serving platter and drizzle with the vinegar.
Makes 12 appetizers.

    Thanks for this one, it will really be very good to have arond. A great snack to stash in the refridgerator too. I oten use Zuccini slices as bread for summer sandwiches and lettuce leaves for burgers but this is perfect for the season Pat in Maine. - 12/16/11
