I skipped the marinading and instead, placed the chicken in the slow cooker and sprinkled "Good Seasons Italian Dressing Seasoning" directly onto the chicken. It was fantastic. My husband and I both loved it. So easy to. - 9/14/09

I used low sodium chicken broth and much less garlic salt with some regular garlic because my husband has high blood pressure, my family still really liked it though and we'll have it again - 7/19/08

Yikes on the carb count, so made this w/low sodium broth, cornstarch instead of flour, skim milk, & a turnip, corn, carrots & rutabega for the veg. The seasoning was AWESOME--will make again! - 12/9/14

I think the calorie count is off on this recipe - the Chicken breast (4 oz per serving) is only showing 22 calories per the full 4 oz. - 9/28/14

i'm making this tonight for dinner. i omitted the corn - and will toss in some cooked egg noodles when done - thinking that will appeal to my kids! ~ will try to remember to post a rating and photo later! :) - 9/29/13

    Good
I made this with red potatoes and followed everything else to the letter. My slow cooker must cook more quickly, because at hour 4.5 the chicken broth was almost dried up, so I ended up adding more. Overall really good flavor! I think next time I will use half the amount of corn and add carrots. - 12/28/10

Very good and easy to make. I used mixed veggies (store was out of corn!) and omitted the curry. Added some thyme and rosemary. Everyone ate it - will make again. - 11/29/10

I made this for dinner tonight. I had to leave out the onions, corn and spices because of some stomach issues I am having right now, but it was still very good! When I am feeling better, I will make this again using all the ingredients. I might use peas instead of corn though. - 10/21/10

Sounds good but way too much sodium. Maybe just garlic powder instead of garlic salt?? - 10/13/10

THANKS! I have been looking for a good chicken stew recipe. My family loves it along side a good BBQ meal. We serve it on rice.

The meal consists of BBQ ribs OR shredded pork BBQ, cole slaw, and the stew on top of a bed of rice! YUMMO!
