Ingredients

    - 1 ham, about 2 lbs
    - 1 cup pineapple chunks
    - 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
    - 1/2 cup brown sugar
    - 1 tablespoon corn starch
    - 1 crushed clove garlic

Directions

In a large container (make sure it has a lid), mix the pineapple, crushed red pepper, and brown sugar together. Place ham in the mixture, and be sure ham is well coated. Refrigerate overnight, or at least for a few hours.

Once the ham has been marinating for a day or a few hours, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove ham from mixture, cut a few slices in the ham length-wise (just to make sure some glaze absorbs into the ham), and place on a roasting rack. Place mixture on the stove and add 1 tablespoon corn starch, and 1 crushed clove garlic. Mix well. Once the glaze is bubbly, keep on a very low heat.

Baste the ham with the glaze every 20 minutes. Make sure to keep some to pour over the ham once it is done (60 minutes).

Enjoy!

I made it with honey ham instead of regular ham which made it even tastier. The glaze was WAY too spicy though. I will definitely make it again but with very little or maybe even none of the crushed red pepper. - 1/26/09

Red pepper made it way too spicy! I made additional glaze without the red pepper to cook it with. Tasty. - 4/24/11

    O.K.
Much too spicy for kids. Cut the crushed red pepper back by half & no need to marinate all day, Nutrition is way off - no way is there no sugar in pineapple and brown sugar glaze and unless you washed the ham the sodium is off also. To get the fat value listed trim off all fat. Serv. should be 3oz - 3/16/16

Sounded good. Not sure what went wrong but my ham disentigrated and turned to a totally inedible mush. The only thing I did different was I left out the pepper and only let it marinade for about an hour. - 8/3/11

This was amazing. Be sure to make slices into the ham so the glaze can really get down inside. I chopped some ham up and threw it into our scrambled eggs~ Awesome. - 5/29/08
