Introduction

I just looooove the flavor of the Oriental flavor ramen, but don't want the MSG or high salt. Here is a copycat that tastes just like it, without the sodium. I use it in everything now, and add salt to taste. I just looooove the flavor of the Oriental flavor ramen, but don't want the MSG or high salt. I think the serving size is labeled wrong..Therefore the calorie count is high because it's showing for the entire jar made up in this recipe...I just refigured mine in the recipe calculator and it makes more sense...nice spice!! - 3/24/08

Thanks so much. this is just what I needed to add to my low sodium seasoning arsenal. Instead of salt, why not try a bit of soy sauce. very authentic. - 4/27/10

This sounds terrific, but I can't believe the calorie count would be that high. Are you sure about that? - 1/31/08

    Bad
this was disgusting. I tried it because I did not have any seasoning for noodles. It made me want to throw up, my mouth is still burning. - 10/11/14

    Good
I only rated 3 stars because this is labeled as a "copycat" recipe. It's a good recipe, but it does not taste like the store-bought oriental ramen I expected. I halved the ginger, seemed like way too much IMO. I used 1 1/2 tsp in a packet of Ramen, plus a dash of soy sauce. Pretty yummy. :-) - 8/30/14

What is the correct serving size? How did you reconfigure the recipe Perty Fat Mama? It sounds great!

    O.K.
This was okay, but I had to add so much salt that it ended up having as much sodium as actual ramen. If you check the facts on salt, just half a teaspoon has 1200 mg of sodium! (which is almost as much as the real ramen seasoning) - 11/7/10
