Gotta watch the salt in the soy sauce - 5 spice powder & curry don't really need soy sauce - I used a little water & more curry instead. I also added some sugar snap peas & onions for more veggies. I love stir fry!! - 12/30/08

Very tasty but you'll need more spice. I didn't use soy sause but rather stir fry for less salty taste. Also substituted brown rice for the white. I will definitely make again. - 2/18/08

Definitely drain the fat before adding the rest of the ingredients! Put in a couple of bay leaves for added flavour; remove before serving. - 9/1/09

This was really good. I like the suggestion of adding garlic next time. I used on TBSP of Teryiaki sauce and only 2 Soy Sauce and I used a lower sodium soy sauce to cut the sodium down. It was great! - 5/20/09

I agree with the comments that there is an error in the nitritional info - no way can the cholesterol count be 0 . This does sound tasty but I will use ground turkey and brown rice for added health benefit, also add garlic, onion and some jalapeno pepper (we like spice!). - 10/26/08

8oz of beef is not the same as 8 fluid ounces - I'm not sure how you calculated nutrition of "1 cup" of ground beef? I couldn't find any rice for under 140 cal/serving - I think the Spark calculator is off? I made it with 1/2lb ground turkey, no oil, & brown rice - 382 calories. Loved it! - 9/4/09

I used "veggie ground" instead of ground beef, to make it vegetarian and substituted baby corn for one of the cups of bell peppers... and added a tbsp. of sesame oil instead of the soy sauce to reduce the sodium content and add flavour. By the way, I used brown rice for extra fiber and nutrition. - 10/25/09

I found it to be rather dry. This hard-to-get-my-daily-veggies-in girl, loved the crunch and flavor of the veggies most! (I used asparagus & zucchini in place of the peppers). Flavor was good-used garlic as suggested. It's missing something. Has potential. Fiance asked me not to make it again. - 1/27/10

Good recipe but like some others I used ground turkey and brown rice. I did a variation of not using curry/5 spice but rather using garlic chili hot sauce (available in Asian sections of most stores) and just a dash of low sodium soy sauce. Lots of flavor and leftovers microwave well for lunch. - 10/25/09

it calls for just a cup of ground beef for serveing of 4 which isn't very much meat. Using a pound of ground trukey would give it more meat with less fat. Use low salt soy sauce to cut back on the salt. When adding repices to use for our tracker it is important to have the right info to count it . - 10/25/09

I notice this says there's no cholesterol, but could that be right--I mean it is made with beef and no matter how lean it is, there would still be some cholesterol. And I agree that the sodium is high--I'd like to make this--will have to see what I can adjust--thanks. - 10/24/08
