Yum! I give them 4.5 stars, my husb.says 3.5 because they "taste healthy" - which is why I give them 4.5! I used old fashioned oats which I'm sure contributes to that. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly, but did bake for 15 instead of 12. I enjoy the hearty flavor and it's a filling cookie. - 7/11/09

I made these this morning. The first bite I thought, "Wow I can taste the whole wheat flour". Then by the second bite I thought "Hey, these are great". The only thing I did different was I didn't add the nuts and added 1/2 cup more of chocolate chips. And I made mine a bit smaller and baked 15 mins. - 7/24/10

I was looking for a healthier chocolate chip cookie and this one seems to fit the bill. I used 2 1/2 cups of chocolate chips for hubby and the girls because they love their chocolate. I kept everything else the same. I agree with prior comment to flatten the cookies for a cookie shape. Delicious! - 3/18/14

Wow... I can't believe how good these turned out! I made them for a PTA Harvest Fest for children and they were the first ones off the tray! I subbed 1/2 cup Egg beaters for the 2 eggs and I also added 1 tsp of cinnamon to kill the wheat flour taste. I flattened the cookie and baked for 15 min. - 10/26/11

Yum to the Tum....my kid was eating the batter and she swears to hate oatmeal...had to cook about 7 min. longer to get that nice brown look and I too, flipped them after the first 12-14 min. Should have grinded the oats. I blended all the dry ingredients together and added to the wet-still worked. - 3/31/11
