Ingredients

    6 teaspoons sesame oil
    2 teaspoons minced garlic
    2 teaspoons minced ginger
2 cups Swanson Organic chicken broth
4 tablespoons Kikkoman Lite soy sauce
    4 tablespoons brown sugar
    1 teaspoon pepper
6 teaspoons lemon or lime juice
    6 teaspoons cornstarch
    4 tablespoons water
    Crushed red pepper flake

Directions

Heat the sesame oil in a small saucepan. Add the ginger and garlic and stir-fry 15-30 second over medium heat to bring out the flavor. Add the chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, red pepper flake, pepper, and lemon juice. Bring just to a boil, stirring. Dissolve the cornstarch in the water and whisk into the sauce. Heat until sauce thickens and reaches a full boil.

Simmer for 30 seconds. Remove from the heat and set aside.

This makes 4 cups of sauce, freeze in 1 cup batches for later. The serving size is 1/4 cup.

The nutrition information is wrong! Followed the recipe exactly and only got 2.5c of sauce, which drastically changes the sodium content. VERY misleading to be labeled as "Low Sodium!" Also, for future recipes, please simplify - 6 tsp. is the same as 2 Tbsp. 4 Tbsp. is 1/4 c. Thanks. - 7/3/13

Not true about Bragg's. When comparing suppliment fact labels, Bragg's has 110mg sodium in 1/2 tsp or 660mg per tbsp. Kikkoman Lite Soy has 575 per tbsp. Also, soy has 1000mg protein as to 1740mg in braggs. Soy 10 cal and Braggs 0 cal. Just FYI. - 1/23/11

I am pleasantly surprised with this stir fry sauce! I am a very picky eater, and this is quite good. Will definitely help get those vegetables down! - 4/10/08

It’s not surprising that the recipe would yield only approximately 2.5 cups because that’s the amount of liquid in the recipe. Not sure where that came up with 4 cups. Calculate the sodium by ingredients used. I still enjoyed this recipe.
4 stars for me. Site only lets me give one?

I thought this was very good but I also got a yield of only 2.5 cups. A few ideas to reduce sodium much more: there is a VERY low sodium soy sauce called Chinatown Soy Sauce (available on Amazon) that has only 145mg sodium per TB. Also, try Trader Joe's salt free chicken broth. - 2/28/17

I thought this was very good, but I added a little bit of oyster sauce because I thought it was lacking a little something, but I'm a big oyster sauce fan. - 11/5/11

We all loved this stir-fry sauce, especially the kids. Hubby doesn't like stirfry, but gave this one a definite thumbs up!! Will definitely make again! I reduced the oil to 3 tsps and increased the cornstarch, as we wanted it a little thicker. Thanks for a great recipe! - 7/17/09

I wasn't a big fan of stir-fry, but I wanted something different and needed to use up a lot of vegetables. This sauce was so delicious that it completely changed my mind about stir-fry. I'm making it for the 2nd time this week, and it will absolutely be a regular in my kitchen. - 6/26/09
