Good, but next time instead of apple juice, I think I'll try 1 cup chicken bone broth. - 1/30/21

    Incredible!
I love this! My changes - I substituted 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce and 1/2 cup water for the apple juice. I also used 2 cups each of chopped bell peppers and celery. 1 couple of dollops of sweet chili sauce is perfect for our family - 5/15/16

    Incredible!
Delicious and filling, perfect for this cold rainy weather! I added extra cloves because autumn is the time for excessive clove consumption, and put it over a bed of rice. I haven't felt full, like Thanksgiving full, since I stopped eating meat... until I ate this chili. - 11/6/14

As I didn't have apple juice to hand, I chopped up an apple and threw in more water... its delicious! and good for a quick snack as well. - 9/21/11

    Very Good
I like hot (spicy) chili, so I substituted ground chipotle pepper for the regular and added several drops of Tabasco. The sweet allspice and apple juice balanced it out. Really tasty! - 3/18/09

    Incredible!
Have made it, submitted this recipe too and realized that two others have as well. I'm the extra veggie and lots of spice kind of girl too and added Yves veggie ground to satisfy the "meat" lovers in my house. A huge hit...freezes like a dream. - 1/6/09

    Incredible!
I am not a big chili person but I loved this! I did not use the allspice and added more chili powder at the end because I like it very spicy. I also added ground turkey. It was delicious and made a huge batch--plenty to freeze for leftovers! I will definitely make this again. - 9/21/08
