Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 eggs
    3/4 cup milk
    2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
    2 teaspoons dried minced onion
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
    1-1/2 pounds ground beef
    1/4 cup ketchup
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    1 teaspoon ground mustard
    1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well (mixture will be moist.) Shape into a round loaf; place in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 160°.
In a small bowl, whisk the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon over the meat loaf. Cook 15 minutes longer or until heated through. Let stand for 10-15 minutes before cutting. Yield: 6 servings.

    Superior meatloaf - exactly like one I made years and years ago that I got from the Crisco cookbook. Crisco was used to grease the pans otherwise there was no Crisco in it. It was great and I love that she has adapted it to the slow cooker. Yummy! - 4/7/10

    Wow! This will be a nice addition to my crockpot weekdays! I didn't have seasoned bread crumbs but I had a box of stuffing. I gave it a whir in the blender and it made enough crumbs to double the batch. Can't wait until school starts to see how it will fit into the "real" busy time.

    This was the sh*t! i hate meatloaf but decided to try to make this recipe cuz it sounded good one day. it is EXCELLENT! i added alot of black pepper, and some garlic salt. i will def. be adding this to the family recipe book! - 9/16/08
