Introduction

A moist spicy cake...a good way to use some of those extra green tomatoes before frost hits. Sprinkle the finished cake with confectioners' sugar or a nice dollop of vanilla fat free yogurt. This can be made with or without the nuts, either way its very yummy. A moist spicy cake...a good way to use some of those extra green tomatoes before frost hits. I didn't have walnuts and used craisins instead of raisins. I was pleasantly surprized. Thanks - 10/11/11

This is my very FAVORITE green tomato recipe. You can't even tell tomatoes are in the recipe. I gave some to some friends and they agreed. We loved this. - 10/15/10

This is good. If you didn't know better you might think these were apple chunks. A lot of sugar makes anything yummy!:)
    Tasty treat.

I've revamped it a bit and it still tastes just as good to me so please try the reduction in sugar method i have jut submitted and the change in butter. I am glad you enjoyed it.
