To cook it faster, I microwaved the potatoes before slicing them up and putting them in. That made the baking time only 35 minutes! - 2/13/08

I made this for my family and my kids ate it! That is rare. I did use cream of celery instead of mushroom because I was out of cream of mushroom. Will make this again! - 3/22/10

I used to make something similar to this years ago that I had forgotten all about. I used to call it "ham and potato slop" ! I'll have to try it again. - 7/4/13

This one is a keeper. I cooked it one hour covered, and then 30 more minutes uncovered to brown the top. Quick prep, and the whole family loved it. - 5/28/13

Just made this for dinner and it was delicious! Grown ups and kids loved it. After an hour, the potatoes were still a little crisp so I put some foil over the top and baked for about 10 more minutes. But then it was a little soupier than I wanted it. Think I will try the microwave trick. - 6/28/11

I tried this one Sunday to make food for the week. It freezes well also. I cut out the 8 servings and put them in plastic containers. It's been great this week! - 1/13/10

This is a flavorful meal that could also be served as a side dish. We loved it. Next time I will cut down on the soup and increase the cheese, but even as made it is wonderful! - 6/28/11

tried this last night, used Crm.Broccoli soup instead, 3 types shredded cheese had in the fridge, ans substituted chives for onions -- pretty good, would make again and add vegges and seasoning like pepper. Hubby and I would eat again (not DD, doesn't like potatoes). - 2/3/11

My family really enjoyed this. I made it with Cream of Chicken soup as my hubby and daughter despise mushrooms in any form. I served it with a side of steamed broccoli and cauliflower.
I did have to cook it about 30 minutes longer than called for.

YAY! This was so good! I had to use the full fat cream of mushroom because I didn't have FF. Then I had to use reduced fat cheddar because I didn't have colby. But it still turned out FANTASTIC. I am really thinking a little bacon instead of ham would be awesome too. :) THANKS! - 3/29/10
