Introduction
This is a super yummy, super easy recipe that is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. They are very rich, so you only need 1 or 2 to satisfy that craving. After you've made this flavor - its easy to find other flavors - just mix and match the flavor cookies and chocolate (ex: PB cookies and dark chocolate, etc) - just be sure to recalculate your calories. Can be made with Neufchatel cheese too. Calories are usually a little lower, because I don't usually use all of the chocolate, but I calculated with the whole bag. Calculate your nutritionals based on how many balls you make. I usually make about 100. Great for parties - especially at Halloween - and great to make for gifts. Ingredients
-
8oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese Fat Free, softened
1 bag Reduced Fat Oreo Cookies
1 bag Nestle White Chocolate Morsels
Need toothpicks.
Directions
In food processor, chop up entire bag of oreo cookies as fine as possible
Soften Cream Cheese if necessary in microwave
Place Oreo Cookies and Cream Cheese in mixer and mix until blended well.
Place in refrigerator for about 1/2 hour to firm slightly.
Line 2 cookie trays with wax paper.
Roll oreo/cream cheese mixture into balls in palm of hand- I usually make mine about the size of small malted milk balls. Place on wax paper.
Place in freezer for approx 5-10 minutes to firm.
Melt chocolate in microwave according to time listed on package. If it says to add butter, do NOT do this! You may need to reheat once or twice.
Using 2 toothpicks per person - place one in center of cookie ball and dip into melted chocolate until it looks like an "eyeball" (not covering the cookie mixture entirely). Remove from chocolate & remove from toothpick by using other toothpick to help slide off - placing it back on the waxpaper.
Place in refrigerator for 5-10 minutes to help harden chocolate.
Enjoy!

I made these tonight and they were super easy to make! They taste amazing, very rich, i put them in the freezer for a couple hours and it made the choclate shell harder and more crunchy, good either way! Thanks for the recipe! - 7/13/09

I love them right out of the freezer after a good hour too! However, my Father-in-law usually can't wait that long to start eating them :)
Next time I make them I'm going to try it with a Peanut Butter flavor cookie with Dark Chocolate! So easy!!!!!

I have made a slightly different version and they are fantastic. I use milk chocolate and dip the whole ball into the chocolate. I think of these more like a truffle. They are super rich but I am always asked for the recipe. They are easy to make too. - 7/12/09

That's what I love about this recipe - so easy, not alot of ingredients & its so versatile. Once you have one batch done - its easy to switch to different type of chocolate and cookie combination. And they are very rich, so you don't need more than a serving size to be satisfied!
