Step 4: Cut carrots into coins (add to pot)

Step 5: Chop onions (add to pot)

Step 5: Mince Garlic (add to pot)

Step 9: Eat it! I sometimes add red pepper flakes or some other herbs (cilantro or parsley) to the pot

Great soup. Sometimes I will use half of the sausage and then add cubed chicken breast. Yum! - 9/13/12

Delicious and easy soup to make. I used my own chicken stock, and venison sausage to make lower fat. Will definitely be making again. - 4/3/10

    Very Good
This is good, but too salty for me. I cut the bouillon cubes to 10 and it was still too salty. I will use 8 bouillon cubes next time. The vegetables got too done. I will only cook a total of 30 minutes next time. Added 2 more cups of cooked kale the second day and it was delicious. - 8/3/14

My recipe uses turkey italian sausage, fennel bulb (cored, chopped), 2 baked potatos (chopped), 4 bay leaves and rosemary. Even omitting the potatos - holy cow this is good soup! Even my 19 year old picky son likes it!! - 1/12/12

    Very Good
I used 1 lb. of Jimmy Dean lowfat sausage since I had no idea what "8 links" of sausage meant. I also used garlic powder since I can't keep real garlic in the house without it spoiling. But my kids absolutely loved this. This will be my go-to recipe for Kale from now on. I even gave 4 cups away! - 10/26/10
