Introduction

very good and very easy very good and very easy
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    3 Cups Shredded Mozzarella
1 Cup Shredded Colby & Monterey Jack Cheese
    4 eggs
    1 tsp Garlic Powder
    1 tsp Basil

This is the basic recipe for the crust - 16" size.
    I use a 13 x 9 pan for mine.

You can use your own mix of cheese - even reduce it by one cup/one egg to make less...I like my crust a bit thicker so I use 4 cups of cheese, 4 eggs, for thinner crust use 3 cups of cheese and 3 eggs. You can also vary the seasonings you use, if you have a favorite blend use it.

Directions

Bake at 450 degrees until browned to desired crispness/doneness

it does not stick to the pan - trust me!

Top with 1/4 cup pizza sauce (more if you like more but if watching carbs, use 1/4 cup); use any mix of meats or other toppings as desired. Once you add the toppings you want (including any additional cheese you want on top) - put under the broiler until the cheese is melted to desired point.

ENJOY!

Made myself a personal pizza using 1 cup mozerella and 1 egg. Sprayed a frying pan with some pam and made the "crust" over medium-high heat. Worked great and omg so yummy. Perfect for pizza cravings! - 8/7/12

This is an awesome recipe. It was invented by a great lady on the low carb boards - and there are infinite versions out there. I make mine with 2 cups cheddar/1 cup mozzarella/3 eggs and with oregano instead of basil, plus a little flax - 2 tablespoons - to hold it together better. YUM! - 4/30/10

I too have begun using Flax as a binder and heck, it's just good for ya! Thanks for chiming in :)

Tasty! I'll admit - I was skeptical, but it definitely made a great crust! I've been craving pizza, and this was the perfect carb-substitute. I did lightly spray the pan, however. - 8/9/11

Really good and satisfying. I line the pan with parchment and it just lifts off. I also cook 5 minutes more (for a crispier bite), cut it up and have crackers! This is my new staple for lo carb. Thank you. - 1/31/13

I couldn't believe how good this was. My husband was completely skeptical beforehand that this would be a good crust, and he LOVED it! I'm diabetic, and it was SO nice to be able to have 2 pieces of pizza without worrying about all the carbs. It was absolutely delicious! - 6/23/14

Wondering if this can be made with just the egg whites instead of whole eggs to reduce the cholesterol? - 1/26/12

This is a keeper! I love that I have all the ingredients in my house at all times. When not following low carb I use to make a crust my family has been making for years and it was always a go to on nights when no supper was planned and no meat was in the house. I can still do it now with this one. - 4/2/13

Holy Cheese! Great recipe. My wife and I have diabetes and we love pizza. This will be a regular fare for us. We concocted our own toppings and two pieces each of the 8 total satisfied our appetites (which were enormous at the time because we had just finished our workout at the YMCA). - 1/14/13

I have one major question here.... what do I do with the ingredients after I get them? You list the ingredients, and the temp to bake them at, but not what to do inbetween. - 5/11/10

I tried a small one with totally fat free cheddar and fat free mozarella. I added a sprinkle of garlic powder and italian herb seasoning. Used my small teflon fry pan but did spray first. 15 minutes and it came out perfectly crisp and slid right out of the pan. I was amazed it tasted so good ! - 4/7/18

My Atkins hubby liked this! Our only problem was it sticking to the cookie sheet and fortunately we had a strong metal spatula. Wish we had read the reviews of others first, but agree -- prespray the cookie sheet with spray oil or to use parchment paper lining - unless using nonstick cookie sheet - 10/14/16

Excellent recipe! I used grated Asiago, Mozzarella and Provolone cheeses to make this crust, baked it in an iron skillet, and it tasted just like pan pizza! The texture was amazing and the bottom was very crisp just like a pan pizza from Pizza Hut. I will definitely make this again soon! - 11/20/15

I liked the start of this pizza, but it was destroyed trying to take it out of the pan, I am going to try it again next Friday and use parchment, then broil the top before I add the toppings. Wish me luck - 10/17/15

This was GOOD! Had folks over, made regular pizza for everyone and this for me and another low-carber. I used 2 c. Mozz and 1 c. Cheddar, 1 T chia seed & a few shakes garlic powder. Baked on pizza stone and it did stick a bit but came up easy. Was a Huge HIT with everyone who had some! - 5/30/13
