Ingredients
-
1 medium banana, fresh
2 tbsp whipped cream, pressurized
1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp ginger, ground
Pinch of allspice
5 sprays of imitation butter spray
Directions
Cut the banana in half, leaving the skin on.
Score the back of the banana down the middle to make peeling easier when cooked.
Mix the spices together.
Spray the cut side of the banana with three sprays of butter spray.
Sprinkle most of the spice mix over the cut side of the banana, reserving about a quarter of the mix.
Place the banana cut side down on grill, and cook on medium heat about 5 minutes, or until banana is hot all the way through.
Peel the banana and spray twice with butter spray. Sprinkle the rest of the spice mix over the banana. Cut into pieces and top with whipped cream.

We tried this for the 1st time as a summertime desert (no cream and with just cinnamon sprinkled overtop) - delicious! Must use fresh bananas! (the fresher the better - ripe ones get a wang-y taste) The kids loved this too - didn't realize it was healthy, and I'm not spoiling that! Yummy! :-) - 6/25/13
