My Mom used to make potatoe cakes. I have made them, but never had the recipe. I just mixed the mashed potatoes, milk and flour to make a pancake mixture consistency. I'm pleased to have found this recipe with the measurements for the ingredients. - 2/9/09

I make these also from my grandmothers german heritage, but we add celery, onion, and parsley. We also do not add flour to the mix, we form wet patties and pat both sides with flour. - 1/26/09

I learned how to make these from my mother. I thought that it might be a recipe from her German heritage. She uses leftover corn to put in her cakes. Very yummy - 6/10/08

    Incredible!
A great idea for left over mashed potatoes. There are only 2 of us so I had to adjust the quantity. I also added a clove of garlic (roasted). - 8/5/07
