Introduction

A childhood favorite. Very similar to a dutch oven. I often serve it with fresh fruit and orange juice. A childhood favorite. Very similar to a dutch oven. I often serve it with fresh fruit and orange juice.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    5 Large Eggs
    1 Cup of Milk
1 Cup of Flour (You can use whole wheat.)
    1 Stick of Butter
    1 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract
    3 Tsp. Sugar

Directions

Before starting the mixing of ingredients place stick of butter in 9x13 inch glass baking pan in the oven at 375 degrees Farenheit.

Break 5 eggs into mixing bowl. Beat thoroughly. Add in milk and mix. Add in flour and mix thoroughly. Next add sugar and vanilla extra.

After butter is melted in baking pan add egg mixture to pan. Cook for 30 - 45 minutes. Pancake will be done when sides haver puffed up and are golden brown. Serve with syrup or jam. Sometimes I serve with an orange or lemon butter sauce.

this recipe has sugar which is very bad for you..why not use agave or maple syrup and do not use flour since it is GMO in North America why not use Spelt or Kamut which is organic and not GMO - 3/10/10

Dear Luv, I don't know what Agave is. Maple syrup may not work. And the sugar can always be left out. As for GMO, Spelt and Kamut, I don't know what those are either. I just know this is a meal that my kids like a lot and it is touted by my pediatrician as high protien. I don't do extremes either.

Hi there this sounds like a great recipe, as I live in Australia can you please tell me how much butter is in a stick of butter, if you can convert this into grams that will be much appreciated. Thanks - 3/17/10

    Incredible!
Delicious! I would definitely make this again. Tastes like the baby apple without the apples. Next time I think I will add thinly sliced apples. - 3/17/10

    Incredible!
This. Was. AMAZING. I used Splenda instead of sugar because I wanted more sweetness but without a calorie hit, and it is incredible. Next time I might try cutting the butter in half, just to see if it works... but let me tell you this is awesome! It's all about balance :) - 3/13/10

Thanks! It is so easy to make. We have it atleast once a week. Sometimes for breakfast, sometimes for dinner. Or even lunch. The kids love it!
