Ingredients

    4 cups Swanson low-sodium chicken broth
    1 4-oz can tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp reduced fat sour cream
    3 Haas avocados
    2 limes, juice yields
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 fresh jalapeno peppers, chopped
    2 fresh red hot chili peppers, chopped
    1/2 cup chopped red onion
    1 bunch fresh cilantro, about an oz
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp red pepper
    2-3 drops 'Smack my Ass & Call me Sally'
    hot sauce
    salt to taste (salt is not calculated in nutrional info)
    1 4-oz can green chilis
    4 Tbsp sun-dried tomatoes (optional; this adds 25 calories per serving)


Directions

Makes approximately 7, 1-cup servings.

Divide cilantro in half, blend 1/2 of the cilantro, avocado, tomato sauce, minced garlic, chopped onion, sour cream, red hot chili peppers, jalapeno peppers, & lime juice yields in a blender or food processor. Add chicken broth. Season with salt, black & red pepper, canned green chilis, and hot sauce. Chill for two hours. When chilled, garnish with sun-dried tomatoes and remaining cilantro. (The sun-dried tomatoes are optional and add 25 calories and about 3 grams additional fat per serving) Serve and enjoy.

    I made this, only I made it hot (because it is very cold where I live, but avocados were on sale!). I used tabasco sauce instead. Great recipe! - 12/19/07
