Introduction
This recipe MUST be made exactly with these ingredients and EXACTLY as directed. I worked long and hard to get it just right. It is great for a sore throat, winter blues, etc. It's also great with and Old Fashioned Bologna Sandwich! This recipe MUST be made exactly with these ingredients and EXACTLY as directed. Ingredients
-
Ingredients:
* Whole Milk / Vitamin D, 3 cups
* Pepper, black, 1/2 tsp
* Salt, 1/2 tsp
* Butter, salted, 2 tbsp
* Baking Soda 1/2tsp
* Canned Tomatoes,1/3 cup (remove)
Directions
Before combining all ingredients, Scald milk (bring to boil and then cool); Microwave drained diced tomatoes for 3 min on high.
If you have a double boiler, it will be great for this recipe.
Combine scaled milk, soda, salt and pepper--cook 5 minutes (stirring constantly) on medium heat. Add real salted butter and melt in the milk mixture. Then add microwaved diced tomatoes. (Note: the mixture will FOAM because of the baking soda. Keep stirring and the foam will go down! The baking soda allows the tomatoes not to curdle the milk.) Continue to cook for a few more minutes. Cover and simmer at a low temp till ready to serve.
