Ingredients

    500 g (ml) white flour
    0.25 oz (7 g) dry yeast
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp sugar
    approximately 1 cup Luke-warm water
    1 tbsp sunflower oil

Directions

Up to 18 slices.

Mix together all ingredients. Add more flour or water until the consistency of the dough is correct - it should not stick to your hands. Kneed for roughly 10 minutes. Roll into a long loaf and push into bread pan. Even out. Brush lightly with a drop of oil. Cover with plastic or wet dish cloth. Let stand up to an hour in a warm place (in the sun) or until well risen (I sometimes put a warm beanbag under the pan to speed up the process. Preheat oven to 200°C. Bake for 40 - 45 minutes until the crust is deep golden brown.
