Ingredients

    * Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
    * Apples, fresh, 2 large (3-1/4" dia) (approx 2 per lb)
    * Raisins, 0.50 cup (not packed)
    * Water, tap, 5 cup (8 fl oz)
    * Steel Cut Oats, dry, 2 cup

    The first time we added Raisins, 3 cups (not packed), but that was way too much raisins for me. The one I usually make I put 1 cup of raisins and apples. The raisins add a good sweetness to it.
    Really you can add whatever dried fruit you would want. Also we put the raisin in with all the other ingredients as the original instructions said and the raisins lost all their texture. It didn't really bother me but it did bother my husband. You could wait and add later but since I leave it over night I just throw it all in at once.

Directions

Put all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low 6-8 hours. If you're planning to cook the oatmeal 8 hours or longer, use 8 cups of water. If you want to cook it less than 8 hours, use 6 cups of water.

Also I used a crockpot liner (love love love those things!) but you will need to spray it cooking spray or something otherwise it will not end well for all involved ;)
