Introduction

Lovely tasty high protein vegan burgers! Lovely tasty high protein vegan burgers!

Ingredients

    Medium Onion, chopped
    170g Mushrooms, canned
    4-6 cloves garlic, chopped
    2 TB Olive Oil
    250g Beans (I sued White Beans, but any bean will do)
    1 cup Oats
    3 TB Cornmeal
    1/2 cup Nutritional Yeast Flakes
    187g (half a block) Tofu, crumbled
    2 TB (1 fluid ounce) Whiskey
    1 TB Soy Sauce
    1 1/2 tsp Salt
    1 TB Dried Parsley Flakes

Directions

Pre-cook the onions and mushrooms in a frying pan in one of the Tablespoons Olive Oil. When the onions become really soft, add the chopped garlic. When all of this starts to brown slightly, add the whiskey and continue to cook until all the ingredients are soft and slightly browned. Transfer to a large mixing bowl and add everything else. Mash it together really well, then form 6 patties. It's best to let the patties sit on a covered dish for a while before cooking. Cook on a med-low heat in a frying pan (the same one you used to cook the mushrooms and onions works) covered with a lid.
