The healthier way to eat a burger with gooey cheese. The healthier way to eat a burger with gooey cheese.
Number of Servings: 4


    1 lb. of lean ground beef
    4 slices of cheese
    4 hamburger buns


While preparing the meat, take one slice of cheese and break it up into halves. Break the halves up into 4 pieces. Split the meat up into 4 4oz patties. Take one half of the cheese and place it in the middle of a patty. You can do this by putting the meat together than cutting it in the middle or separate the meat into two pieces but make sure to surround the cheese with the rest of the meat. Then cook to your liking.

Each 4 oz patty makes 1 serving.

Note that it may be a healthier choice by using a leaner type of meat such as 93% (or by using ground turkey) and a fat free cheese.
