Tasty treat! Tastes like a truffle, but it's really purreed dates! Wow! Tasty treat! Tastes like a truffle, but it's really purreed dates! Wow!
Number of Servings: 16


    1 C. dates (chopped up coarsely)
    3 Tbsp. Cocoa powder.

    1/4 C. slivered almonds (minced)
    1/4 C. shredded coconut


Chop the dates up as fine as you can. Start adding cocoa powder (2Tbsp.)... if the consistency is chalky, add warm water to moisten.
Roll into small balls, finally roll each ball into the almonds and cocoa powder (1Tbsp.) (& coconut, optional) and place on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Place in the freezer for an hour to set.

These taste like chocolate truffles! Dates have an amazing texture and are chock full of vitamins and fibre!
