    1 cup brown rice
    2 cups water
    1 clove garlic
    4 links pork sausage, or Italian sausage
    1 15.5 oz. can kidney beans
    1/4 cup salsa
    a little extra water, if recipe looks too dry


Cook brown rice in 2 cups water. While rice is cooking, slice sausage and cook in separate pan. Chop garlic and saute. When rice has cooked, add sausage, garlic, and kidney beans (drained). Add salsa and a bit more water if needed. Let simmer until all ingredients are heated through. Makes approximately 5 servings.
